Florian was able to participate in the Higher Education and Research Software Development Days in Montpellier!
Juliette, Carole-Anne, and Sébastien traveled to Lorient to take part in the mobilization of the Tara Polar Station, which will set sail from Lorient next July for Polaris I.
Ariane, Carole-Anne, and Sébastien went to retrieve the mooring in Qikiqtarjuaq that had been installed last February.
Students from the laboratory participated in and led the MISSION ISSEO project, in collaboration with other doctoral students in oceanography. This mission took place aboard a modified recreational sailboat, covering a dozen stations around Baie Comeau and as far as the south shore !

Members of the laboratory had the opportunity to attend the Refuge-Arctic 2026 symposium, which took place in Toulouse from June 1 to 5.
Élodie had the opportunity to present a simplified version of her master's thesis at the INQ's “Mon Projet Nordique” competition!
Léna had the opportunity to present her incubation projects at ASLO 2026, which was held in Montreal.
Mathieu was honored to receive a bronze medal from the CNRS for his work on polar marine ecosystems. Congratulations !

Congratulations to Guillaume Barut, doctoral student, who has just published an article entitled: Water Mass Assemblages and Nutrient Dynamics in Nares Strait: A Multi-Year Perspective.
Foucaut and Mathieu had the opportunity to attend Laval University’s 2025 Gala for Inspiring Individuals alongside Philippe and Cindy. They even had the honor of receiving an award for the publication of the article “Seafloor Primary Production in a Changing Arctic Ocean.”

Élodie Gagnon and Carole-Anne Guay used an IFCB to continuously monitor phytoplankton and small zooplankton communities during the mission.
Through the program Découverte, we were able to watch a short report on the icebreaker Amundsen and our expedition Refuge-Arctic to the Arctic.

leg03 and leg04 during the summer of 2024, aboard the Refuge-Arctic expedition,

and multi-annual sea ice.
